PROFESSIONAL MENTORSHIP PROGRAMS

  • Are you searching for a better way to prepare and train?
  • Are you looking for the “missing link” in your program design?
  • Are you looking at taking your coaching and/or training to the next level?
  • Are you looking for an educational approach to training based upon facts and not fiction?

Well, if you answered YES! then you've come to the right place!!

We would like to invite you down to our home at the Institute of Human Performance in Boca Raton, Florida for an experience of a lifetime.

Our one-of-a-kind training vacation offers professional mentorships for martial artists, MMA enthusiasts, fitness enthusiasts, athletes, personal trainers, coaches, therapists and other fitness and allied health professionals, a non-threatening learning experience that enhances practical knowledge in the realm of combative sports. This mentorship is not a certification; it is an educational experience. The training principles you will learn are tried and true. They have been proven at Intocombat day in and day out — they are not theories in a book – they are real life constructs based upon wins and losses not some superficial worked up data. There are no exams here, no test. The emphasis is on you - the emphasis is on learning!!!

You will have the opportunity to take control of your educational experience by learning at your own pace and essentially guiding the curriculum. While you are learning you will become part of the Intocombat family. You will sweat, laugh, play, eat and train with the Intocombat training staff. It is truly a unique private/semi-private learning experience that focuses on the application of simple but very effective training principles. Attendees receive a certificate of completion that may be petitioned for Continuing Educational Units (CEUs) from national organizations.

ONE-DAY MENTORSHIP — $650.00

The One-Day mentorship familiarizes the attendee with the basic training approach used at Intocombat — the 4 Pillars. The attendee will discuss the 4 Pillars of Human Movement model with an Intocombat staff member. Once the attendee fully understands the 4 Pillar model, the basic exercises used to train the 4 Pillars will be addressed in a practical discussion. Following the practical discussion, the attendee will shadow an Intocombat trainer to observe a session. This training session will be chosen by the attendee ahead of time and will cover the attendee’s population/area of interest. The one-day mentorship culminates with a review of the day. During the review the attendee will have all final questions answered and concerns addressed. The review also gives the Intocombat staff member an opportunity to ask questions of the attendee to make sure that the basic points of the mentorship have been fully understood.

(hours do not have to be consecutive)

  • 1 hour with a Intocombat trainer — 4 Pillars discussion
  • 1 hour practical session with Intocombat trainer — basic gross movements
  • 1 hour — Intocombat trainer observation (shadowing a trainer)

Depending on the knowledge level of attendee, custom modules may be designed to provide progressive and continued learning in specific areas of interest fees may change for customized modules. We have done customized modules for the FBI and other combative professionals.

DAY 1

This first day will introduce the organizational structure of Intocombat and the Institute of Human Performance. We will also explain the tenets of Intocombat training. We will also explain and illustrate the Intocombat training philosophy (the theoretical and applied). The myths and fallacies of training the combative athlete will be discussed in detail as well as the modalities of training that we utilize based upon the 4 Pillars. workout

  • 1 hour with a Intocombat trainer —discussion
  • 1 hour practical session with trainer — basic gross movements
  • 1 hour — trainer observation (shadowing a trainer)

And the relation of heart rate to fine, complex and gross motor skill. Also how to train the gross and fine motor movements of an individual in preparation for combative sports (Illustrate and discuss Skill/Beats Per Minute Curve). Also the importance of focus, intensity, attention and arousal in performance. Special emphasis will be given to the importance of training under adverse conditions in order to prepare as much as possible for competition.

(hours do not have to be consecutive)

  • 1 hour with a personal Intocombat trainer — inside out training; “critical amnesia” how to induce it and why?
  • 1 hour practical session with trainer — advanced Gross Movements/Fine Movements
  • 1 hour —trainer observation (shadowing a trainer)
  • 1 hour review with trainer

DAY 3

Discusses the 3 basic Tier Integration System (TIS) programs for integrating functional training with other forms of training, like hypertrophy, strength, etc.,.. The 3TIS provides a model where traditional protocols based on bodybuilding and powerlifting, can synergistically co-exist with more of the functional modalities. Considering that many traditional training injuries are due to over-use and/or overtraining, it makes sense to include the neural component of functional modalities within a standard training model. Functional training does not carry the excessive weight that many strength programs utilize. However, due to its neural and stabilization component, training intensities stay high and yield excellent result in a short period of time. Therefore, the integration allowed by the 3TIS provides more training adaptation in less time. Intocombat’s exclusive hybrid training programs will be introduced. Which will lead the mentee in the realm of program design and exercise prescription on day 4

(hours do not have to be consecutive)

  • 1 hour with a personal In trainer - basic program design
  • 1 hour practical session with Intocombat trainer
  • 1 hour - Intocombat trainer observation (shadowing a trainer)
  • 1 hour review with Intocombat trainer

DAY 4

Program Design — further expands the exercise selection and design process established in previous sessions. Throughout this day the attendee will develop a solid foundation in the use and implementation of the following five basic modalities used at Intocombat: body weight, medicine balls, stability balls, bands/pulleys and dumbbells. More advanced applications will illustrate how simple modalities and exercises may be turned into advanced protocols that will challenge anyone from a weekend warrior to an Olympic Level athlete.

(hours do not have to be consecutive)

  • 1 hour with a personal Intocombat trainer — modalities and advanced exercise applications
  • 1 hour practical session with trainer
  • 1 hour — trainer observation (shadowing a trainer)
  • 1 hour review with trainer
  • 1 hour technical grappling session

DAY 5

Special attention will be paid to yearly and seasonal programming. Other programs covered in this module will include the tri-plex and quad-plex Hybrids, JC’s Inferno circuit (and their sports specific spinoffs) and "Burning the Pillars" programs.
